How to use Altavista's "Babel Fish" to translate foreign language webpages

There are now a few free online translation services available on the internet. One that is easy to use is Altavista's Babel Fish.  With Babel Fish you can translate
full web pages or just a portion of text from a variety of languages into English.
The translation is rough, but will give you a general idea of what's being said.

1. Go to Alta Vista's Babel Fish web address:  http://babelfish.altavista.com/
You'll see two options, one large open area to translate a few words, and a             seperate box to enter a full web page address for a full page translation.

2. Enter the web page address, or individual selections of text you wish to translate
into the appropriate box.  (You can use your cursor to select and copy the
desired text and then simply paste it in the right spot.)  Then choose your
language choice from the list provided.  Hit the translate button... and presto!

It may take a few tries to make it work.  Translation services like this are not  perfect... Sometimes they won't recognize certain words, or more complex web pages.  But it doesn't hurt to give it a try!  Have fun and good luck!  (As this site grows, we hope to have English translations available for key recommended links.)
